New Delhi, Nov. 18 -- Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is wanted in several criminal cases, has been deported to India from the US.

The gangster, a key accused in the murder cases of former minister Baba Siddique and Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala, may arrive on Wednesday.

He was arrested in the US in November 2024, after the Mumbai Police sent a proposal for his extradition. The authorities in America had informed the police about his presence in their country.

Siddique (66), a former Maharashtra minister and the Nationalist Congress Party leader, was shot dead by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan's office at Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra East, on the night of 12 October 2024.
