New Delhi, April 5 -- Laapataa Ladies makers have finally dismissed the claims that the movie's plot has been plagiarised. In a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, Biplab Goswami, who penned the story of Kiran Rao's critically acclaimed film, said the story, its characters, and the dialogues are 100 per cent original.
He also shared that the first detailed synopsis for the movie was submitted in 2014 with the working title 'Two Brides'.
Earlier this week, social media users shared a short clip from 2019 Arabic short film Burqa City, noticing similarities between the stories of the two movies.
