New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Kolkata's iconic Howrah Bridge has stood strong for more than 80 years-- surviving Japanese air raids during World War II, earthquakes and the weight of millions of commuters each day. But a new viral video has reminded the internet that this engineering marvel's biggest threat is not nature or war. it's gutkha stains.

The clip, shared on Instagram, shows the damage caused by years of paan and gutkha spitting on the bridge's steel structures. And the internet had a field day reacting to it.
