New Delhi, Dec. 29 -- Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Thalapathy Vijay was mobbed by a huge crowd of fans who thronged Chennai Airport on Sunday to catch a glimpse of their star as he returned from Malaysia.

Vijay stumbled and fell while trying to get into his car, before security personnel quickly helped him and escorted him inside.

The 51-year-old actor-turned-politician, whose real name is Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, had arrived in India after attending the Jana Nayagan audio launch event, held on 27 December at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. His upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, is directed by H Vinoth. Vijay received a massive reception at the airport, with a large crowd of fans gathering to welcome him.
