New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- On 27 August, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared photographs of the 2025 floods in the Union Territory. The National Conference leader visited flood-hit areas of Jammu, where heavy rains coupled with landslides over the past two days killed at least 41 people - 34 of them on the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route.
Abdullah also shared a picture from the ravaging floods that hit Jammu and Kashmir in 2014. Incidentally, Omar Abdullah was also the chief minister of the erstwhile state then.
"Two photographs from 2014 floods & two from 2025 floods. Almost the same spot & very similar damage," Abdullah said in a post on X.
