New Delhi, June 3 -- Rain may play a part in the final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday as it had started pelting just few hours before the clash. Although there were predictions of rain in the afternoon, the clouds opened up just before teams arrived at the stadium. The pitch has been put under covers.

Both RCB and Punjab Kings finished in the top two of the points table after the league stage. RCB made the final after defeating Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1. Punjab Kings then defeated Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to seal their second appearance in an IPL final.
