New Delhi, March 27 -- Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has dismissed the privilege motion notice moved by the Congress against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The motion was moved by Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on March 26 for "casting aspersions" on senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
Dhankhar rejected the motion on March 27, and said that it was invoked in haste to get traction in media. "I cannot persuade myself to accord any acceptance to this Notice of Question of Privilege against Shri Amit Shah, Minister of Home Affairs," the chairman who is also Vice President of India said.
