New Delhi, Oct. 13 -- India has come under scrutiny at the World Trade Organization (WTO), Mint has reported, over its quality control orders (QCOs), with members such as Australia, the European Union, Japan, Thailand, among others, questioning if New Delhi's measures related to pulses, tyres and air conditioners make for trade barriers.
The US did not raise any concerns at the global trade body on this count, but separately, in its trade deal negotiations with India, the Americans too have made the point strongly about QCOs being one of India's non-trade barriers.
