New Delhi, Dec. 1 -- India's collection of gross goods and services (GST) recorded a 0.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase to Rs.1.70 trillion in November 2025 due to the lower tax rates in the economy after the central government tax cuts, according to the official release.

As per the government data, the gross GST collections for November 2025 stood at Rs.1,70,276 crore or over Rs.1.7 trillion, compared to its previous level of Rs.1.82 trillion in the same period the previous year.

The slower growth in the GST collections for the period shows the effect of the GST rate rationalisation move by the central government-led GST council. The authority slashed the rates of most items which are consumed in the country.
