New Delhi, May 9 -- The Indian Army said on Friday morning that it remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation and that all nefarious designs will be responded to with force. The Army said that the drone attacks emanating from Pakistan were effectively repulsed and a befitting reply was given to the ceasefire violations.

In a post on X, the Indian Army said that Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire Western Border on the intervening night of May 8 and 9, 2025.
