New Delhi, June 19 -- From July 1, train passengers will not be able to book their train tickets without getting aadhaar authentication. A railway circular dated June 10 said that tickets under the Tatkal scheme can be booked through the website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) or its app only by Aadhaar authenticated users.

In other words, if you want to do the tatkal booking, you need to first get the aadhaar authentication.
