New Delhi, Nov. 6 -- Hindalco share price declined over 6% in early trade on Thursday after the company's subsidiary Novelis Inc reported weak earnings for the second quarter of FY26. Hindalco shares slumped as much as 6.36% to Rs.778.10 apiece on the BSE.
Novelis Inc, the wholly-owned arm of Hindalco Industries Ltd, reported a 26.3% increase in consolidated net income to $163 million for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025. The company had posted a consolidated net income of $129 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The company's net income in Q2 excluding special items declined 37% year-on-year (YoY) to $113 million.
Net sales rose 10.45% to $4,744 million from $4,295 million, YoY.
