New Delhi, July 11 -- The gross direct tax collections in India for the financial year 2025-26 rose by 3.17 per cent to nearly Rs.6.64 lakh crore as of July 10, from Rs.6.44 lakh crore reported during the same period the previous year, according to data released by the Income Tax Department.
There was a marginal dip of 1.34 per cent in the net tax collections, which stood at Rs.5.63 lakh crore amid higher refunds.
