Gold rate today, Sept. 16 -- Gold prices gained Rs.119 on Tuesday, trading close to a record high of Rs.1,10,298 per 10 grams in the domestic futures market, supported by strong global trends as investors awaited a likely US Federal Reserve rate cut this week.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the actively traded October gold futures rose Rs.119, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs.1,10,298 per 10 grams, after having touched an all-time high of Rs.1,10,330 in the previous session.
Likewise, the December contract climbed Rs.109 to Rs.1,11,346 per 10 grams on the MCX, following a fresh record of Rs.1,11,350 per 10 grams hit on Monday.
