Gold rate today, April 3 -- Gold prices on MCX traded half a percent higher on Thursday, tracking gains in international bullion prices, on rising safe-have demand after US President Donald Trump announced more aggressive-than-anticipated reciprocal tariffs against major trading partners.
MCX gold prices opened higher at Rs.91,230 per 10 grams as against previous close of Rs.90,728. MCX Silver prices opened lower at Rs.99,658 per kg compared to previous close of Rs.99,753. Gold prices hit a fresh high of Rs.91,423 after opening.
At 9:10 AM, MCX gold rate was trading higher by Rs.557, or 0.61%, at Rs.91,285 per 10 grams. MCX silver rate was down by Rs.1,561, or 1.56%, at Rs.98,192 per kg.
