New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- The Geminid meteor shower, one of the most reliable and spectacular celestial events of the year, reaches its peak overnight tonight, December 13-14. Skywatchers could see up to 150 meteors per hour under ideal conditions as Earth passes through the densest part of the debris stream, according to the American Meteor Society (AMS).
Often producing bright, colourful shooting stars and dramatic fireballs, the Geminids are considered the strongest annual meteor shower and are easily visible to the naked eye from dark locations.
