New Delhi, June 25 -- The upcoming Rs.3,000-FASTag annual pass will benefit frequent private commuters but dent toll operators' revenues by 4-8%, ratings agency Crisil said in a report on Wednesday.

The deficit may need to be compensated under the concession agreement, and hence timely finalization and implementation of the compensation framework will be crucial, Crisil said.

In the interim, credit risk profiles of Crisil Ratings-rated toll operators are expected to hold steady, aided by adequate cash flow cover, it said, citing an assessment of 40 operational toll road projects.
