Eid 2025, March 15 -- This year, Ramadan - or Ramzan in India - one of the most sacred months in Islam, began on March 2, Sunday, after the crescent moon was sighted on Saturday March 1.

Ramadan is a 29 or 30-day-long month, during which practising Muslims observe Roza, or fasting. Eid-ul-Fitr, or Eid, marks the end of Ramadan, the day depending on appearance of crescent.
