New Delhi, June 26 -- US President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani following his apparent victory in the Democratic primary. In a Truth Social post on Thursday (June 26), Trump called Mamdani a "100% Communist Lunatic" and said his rise marks a dangerous turn for the Democratic Party.

"Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor," Trump wrote.

"We've had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous."

Trump, known for his blistering rhetoric, also took personal swipes at the 33-year-old state lawmaker, mocking his appearance, intellect, and speaking voice.
