New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States and China have reached an agreement that will allow TikTok to continue operating, with details on its new buyer to be announced soon.

The announcement follows months of uncertainty over the future of the Chinese-owned short-video app, which has faced national security scrutiny in Washington.

While Trump did not disclose the name of the buyer, he suggested that negotiations were complete. "It's done," he said.

The deal is expected to address US concerns about data security and ownership while keeping TikTok's massive American user base intact.
