Delhi Election 2025, Jan. 28 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised to established 'Anti-Romeo' squads and deploy it in Delhi to check sexual harassment if it comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections.

The promise figures in the saffron party's detailed manifesto 'Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra' available on its website. "We will collaborate with the central government to deploy Anti-Romeo squads at all public spaces," the BJP says in its manifesto.

The first such 'Anti-Romeo' squads to curb sexual harassment were established by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government when it came to power for its first term in 2017.
