New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- Delhi residents woke up to a chilly winter morning on Friday with the temperature at 11degC. At the Delhi Airport, visibility was recorded at 1,700 metres. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday forecast dense to very dense fog for the next five to seven days.
The weather agency issued an orange alert for "cold day" conditions in Delhi on 2 January, to be followed by a yellow alert the next day.
As per the latest weather bulletin, cold wave conditions are likely at isolated places in Delhi between 2 and 5 January.
