Delhi Budget 2025, March 25 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Gupta announced an allocation of Rs.5,100 crore to pay Rs. 2,500/month to eligible women as per the Mahila Samriddhi Scheme in her Budget 2025 speech on March 25.

The Delhi government is planning to transfer the assistance directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The scheme, one of the pre-poll promises of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, was approved by the Delhi government's cabinet earlier this month.

In its manifesto ahead of the Delhi Assembly Elections, the BJP had promised to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs.2,500 to women in Delhi if it comes to power.
