New Delhi, Dec. 20 -- The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi remained in the "very poor" category on Saturday, December 20. The overall AQI was recorded at 376 early Saturday, as compared to 374 recorded on Friday.

According Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI figure at Sarai Kale Khan stood at 428, while Akshardham recorded an AQI of 420 on Saturday. Rao Tularam Marg recorded an AQI of 403, and the Barapullah flyover area recorded 380.

Officials told news agency PTI that dense fog is likely to worsen Delhi's air quality over the weekend, despite the implementation of stringent pollution-control measures.
