New Delhi, July 29 -- Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders on Monday (July 28) publicly revealed that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer earlier this year but has since undergone surgery and is now considered cured by his medical team. Sanders, who turns 58 in August, confirmed he will return to coach the Buffaloes for the upcoming season-his third at the helm.

Sanders, 57, made the emotional announcement at a news conference, surrounded by members of his medical team. He said the battle was grueling but emphasised that he never lost hope.

"It was dynamic. It was tough. It wasn't a cakewalk. It wasn't easy," Sanders said, fighting back tears. "That was a fight, but we made it."
