New Delhi, July 21 -- A Coastal flood advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco, warning of minor flooding along the Northern California bayshore. The advisory is in effect from 7 PM Monday until midnight Tuesday, covering the North Bay Interior Valleys, San Francisco Bay Shoreline, and San Francisco County, according to US media reports.
The NWS cautions that up to one foot of water above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. The San Francisco tidal gauge is forecast to register a high tide of 6.88 feet MLLW, or 1.04 feet above normal, around 9:02 PM Monday. However, high tide timing can vary by as much as two hours across different parts of the Bay Area.
