New Delhi, March 17 -- Fan will witness the first El Clasico of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on March 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) host Mumbai Indians. Notably, both CSK and Mumbai Indians are the most successful sides in IPL with five titles each.

However, Mumbai Indians endured a torrid last season by finishing last on the table. Under new captain Hardik Pandya, the Ambanis-backed franchise were able to win just four out of 14 games.

On the other hand, CSK, under new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, missed out of the top four on net run-rate (NRR). Both CSK and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finished on 14 points each but the latter prevailed owing to better NRR.
