New Delhi, May 28 -- The Government of India's Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the Badvel-Nellore four-lane highway project along with two Indian Railways multitracking projects in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, according to an official announcement.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, along with other cabinet members, approved the projects at the CCEA meeting on Wednesday, 28 May 2025.

The government approved the construction of the 4-lane Badvel-Nellore highway on Wednesday. The project will cost Rs.3,653.10 crore, spread across a length of 108.134 km in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
