New Delhi, Nov. 19 -- Bosch Ltd and Endurance Technologies, two of India's largest manufacturers of anti-lock braking systems, or ABS, have told investors that they will be able to meet a demand surge for such brakes if the government goes ahead with a plan to make them mandatory for all two-wheelers.

This stance taken by the two ABS makers is in direct contrast to the claims of two wheeler majors conveyed to the government that the domestic industry will be unable to meet the demand for these brakes if a draft mandate is implemented from 1 January.
