Akhilesh Yadav claimed BJP likes "foul smell (of cow dung), that's why they are building 'gaushalas' (cowsheds)". However, this remark did not sit well with the BJP, as Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya invoked the renowned Hindi author Munshi Premchand, warning of the potential "political extinction" of the Samajwadi Party.
