New Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Major Indian IT giants including TCS, HCLTech, Infosys and Tata Elxsi have taken a major hit in their Q3 profits due to the implementation of the new labour codes that the Centre announced last year.
According to stock exchange filings of the companies, the four companies reported steep double-digit declines for the quarter ended December 31, 2025.
The declines come as the Centre on November 21, 2025, notified provisions of the new Labour Codes. These provisions brought about changes in the third quarter, due to which the companies took a hit.
In total, the companies lost about Rs.4,470 crore in profit as they claimed that they had taken a one-time hit due to the implementation of the new labour codes.
