New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- State-run and private banks in several states across India will remain closed for services on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, on account of the Mahashivratri festival. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s regional bank holiday calendar, all banks will remain closed in 18 states. The bank holiday on February 26, is recognised under RBI's 'Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act' category.
Account holders and customers are advised to verify the bank holidays in their respective regions before visiting the physical branch as they will not be able to utilise offline services.
