Operation Sindoor, May 7 -- At least 27 airports across the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, UTs Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh among others, will be shut down till May 9 in the wake of restrictions following India's joint military action - Operation Sindoor - at nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in the wee hours of Wednesday (May 7).

As part of Operation Sindoor, Indian Defence forces carried out coordinated strikes deep inside Pakistan, aiming to eliminate terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.

As of Wednesday evening, a total of 27 airports will be shut till May 9, as India Pakistan relations continue to simmer in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.
