New Delhi, Dec. 11 -- India has informed the United Nations that it continues to closely monitor the security situation in Afghanistan. It also condemned the recent airstrikes and the killing of innocent women, children and even cricketers, in a veiled reference to Pakistan.
In his statement at the UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting on the situation in Afghanistan on Wednesday, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni said India calls on the United Nations and the international community to adopt nuanced policy instruments that help bring sustainable benefits for the people of Afghanistan.
