New Delhi, March 17 -- Social media users are outraged after media reports of a US green card holder "violently interrogated, stripped" at Logan Airport surfaced online.
Fabian Schmidt, a New Hampshire resident and a US green card holder, was detained upon reentering the United States from Luxembourg last Friday. His mother, Astrid Senior, told Newsweek that he was stripped naked, violently interrogated, and later transferred to an ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) detention facility.
Social media users have claimed that the US, under Donald Trump's presidency, was "no longer safe" and non-US citizens should avoid travelling unless there are "compelling business reasons".
