New Delhi, Jan. 28 -- Maharashtra, with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was onboard a charter flight from Mumbai to Baramati when the plane crash-landed at 8:45 am, few minutes before the destination.

First picture and videos of crash show the plane gutted by flames. Details regarding the cause of the crash and the reason for emergency landing attempt are still awaited.

The 66-year-old was scheduled to attend four key public meetings today.
