New Delhi, Jan. 1 -- Air India resumed non-stop flights from India to Tel Aviv, Israel's capital, on New Year's Day, 1 January. Earlier, Israel's tourism ministry had said the direct flights were expected to provide a stimulus for tourism and economic exchange between the two nations.

In June 2025, the Tata Group-owned airline had suspended all flights from India to Tel Aviv amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following Iranian missile strikes on a US base in Qatar. Air India had announced the immediate suspension of all flights to the region and routes connecting to the East Coast of North America and Europe.
