New Delhi, March 4 -- After Canada, now China on Tuesday annouced that it will impose a retaliatory tariffs on the US goods. According to the official statetement, an additional tariffs of up to 15% will be imposed on key US farm products, including chicken, pork, soy and beef. The new tariffs will be applicable from March 10.
The move comes after Trump ordered to raise tariffs on imports of Chinese products to 20% across the board. Those took effect on Tuesday.
Imports of U.S. grown chicken, wheat, corn and cotton will face an extra 15% tariff, the Commenrce Ministry statement said. "The tariff on sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, seafoods, fruit, vegetables and dairy products will be increased by 10%."
