New Delhi, Jan. 6 -- A 55 inch LED TV can look unreal in a showroom, but at home the picture has to hold up in mixed light. Most of us watch a mix of cable, OTT, and sports, not demo clips on max brightness. I went through current Amazon options to shortlist TVs that stay watchable at normal viewing distances, around 7 to 9 feet, with picture settings you will actually keep.

While shortlisting, I focused on clean 4K upscaling for everyday content, stable motion for cricket and action scenes, and HDR that does not flatten faces or crush darker scenes. I also checked software speed, remote usability, ports for set top box and soundbar, and service coverage. These are the models that made the cut.
