New Delhi, March 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union government has told the Parliament that 295 illegal immigrants who are the custody of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could be deported to India soon.

The government also said that 388 Indian nationals have been deported to India from the United States after verification of their nationality since January 2025.

The government has not received any information from the US administration regarding the total number of illegal immigrants in the US holding Indian passports, it said.
