Charlie Kirk murder, Sept. 12 -- Two days after Charlie Kirk was shot in an event in Utah, United States President Donald Trump announced that a suspect has been arrested, declaring, "we have him". Speaking in an interview on Fox News, Donald Trump said he was just notified about the development in the Charlie Kirk murder case.

"I think with a high degree of certainty we have him in custody," Donald Trump said, adding, "Somebody close to him turned him, you know, they said, whoa. It's interesting, where we had very good pictures, but not great, not perfect."

He said he hopes Kirk's killer gets death penalty. "I hope he gets the death penalty. What he did - Charlie Kirk was the finest person and he didn't deserve this," he said.
