New Delhi, July 5 -- India's key batsman Virat Kohli expressed immense admiration for the "Star boy" Test captain Shubman Gill, who transformed the batting approach with a record-breaking century in the second innings of the second Test against England at Edgbaston and truly "deserve all of this".
At a ground where India has yet to secure its first Test victory, Gill took charge after his remarkable 269 runs off 387 balls in the first innings and then added a dazzling 161 off 162 deliveries in his second innings, rewriting the record books on the fourth day. Batting at number four, Gill made a lasting impression and received praise from his predecessor, Kohli, who had established himself in that position over a 14-year career.
