New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain has accused Boxing Federation of India's (BFI) executive director and interim committee member Col Arun Malik (retd), of "speaking aggressively" with her in a virtual meeting.
The meeting, held on 8 July, was part of the Target Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). It included boxing coach Pranamika Boro, TOPS representatives and other BFI members.
According to a TOI report, Borgohain said Col Malik raised his voice and behaved in a manner she described as one of the worst experiences in her life.
The boxer said she was "deeply hurt, disheartened" by the incident and questioned the respect and dignity shown to women athletes.
