India, April 20 -- UNESCO coordinated World Heritage Day to raise awareness about monuments and other old historical or cultural sites got celebrated on April 8 across the globe.

In Jaipur, local newspapers published the photos taken by the readers of the heritage sites of the city and tourists were given a ceremonial welcome at site seeing places.

In Bathinda, school students visited the local fort which was built in 12th century, reported TD Garg who is an old colleague and Facebook friend. He shared the pictures of the visit also.
