SHILLONG, May 19 -- A day after Meghalaya was declared as COVID-19 free, a fresh positive case of COVID-19 has been found in Garo Hills. This was informed by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma through a post on Twitter on Tuesday night.The person, found to be asymptomatic, had returned from Chennai in the second batch of returnees and has been in institutional quarantine in Tura from the moment of being tested positive.

The Chief Minister has also informed that the situation is being monitored.
