KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 -- The owner of a ramen restaurant in Tokyo, Japan prohibits his customers from watching videos on their mobile phones while having their meals.

The reason? He wants them to focus on their food.

The owner, Kota Kai had first announced his intention via Twitter last week before the plan came into effect this week, SoraNews reported.

According to the portal, Koi who owns Debu-chan at Takadanobaba was troubled when seeing his customers focusing more on their phones rather than the food.

"It's painful for me to see the ramen that I put my soul into making get ruined right before my eyes," he said.
