Chennai, April 6 -- Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM) Sivarajah Ramanathan will establish approximately 10,000 startups in Tamil Nadu by 2026, said Sivarajah Ramanathan, CEO, TANSIM.

It is likely that the nodal agency for startups is working on a new startup policy to enhance the investor ecosystem in the state.

"TANSIM will be focussing on the existing 80 incubation centres in Tamil Nadu and taking steps to connecting them with markets and investors. It will also create a startup database as well as form a mentor network. This is to look into how many start-ups are there in each district, funding details of them and the sectors in which they are part of," Ramanathan added.
