Bhubaneswar, July 25 -- The Indian Institute of Technology in Bhubaneswar has received the approval to run a project under the Chips to Startups program of the government to train engineers for various roles in the semiconductor industry.

Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneshwar on Sunday, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister for electronics and information technology said that IIT Bhubaneswar had joined the governments Chips to Startups program to help us achieve our mission of training 85,000 high-quality engineers in semiconductor industry.





Apart from training engineers belonging from semiconductor industry, the Chips to Startups program also aims to train 250,000 shop-floor technicians and junior engineers.
