Chennai, Nov. 12 -- MSMEs in Chennai have been badly hit due to the heavy rainfall in the region this week.

The torrential rain add woes to the consistent rise in prices of raw materials which small industries are already struggling with.

KNN reached out to K.R. Thangaraj, President of Tamilnadu Small & Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA) to report on this matter.

He expressed concern for the state of micro enterprises as they are unable to enter the units owing to the flood.

"Medium enterprises are still managing the situation, but in some units the machines are drowned which will result in massive production fall," said Thangaraj.
