Afghanistan, July 11 -- The top U.S. Commander in Afghanistan Gen. Scott Miller committed continued support to Afghanistan during his visit to northern Faryab province.

Gen. Miller visited Faryab together with deputy interior minister for security Brigadier General Khoshal Sadat, deputy defense minister Dr. Yasin Zia and Chairman of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance Abdul Matin Bek.

The senior security and defense officials visited Faryab to participate in a security council (Security Shura) meeting.
